Be outrageously spoiled by the intimate luxury of this romantic woodlands vacation cabin rental.  We lovingly furnished it with an eye toward beauty and comfort with extra special touches to pamper you: an awesome massage chair, hot tub, plush king bed, sumptuous bedding, fully equipped kitchen with quality cookware, equipment & dishes, jetted bath tub, high speed wireless Internet, HDTV/DVDs with movie library, gas log fireplace with remote control, beautiful furnishings & more!

With all our special touches, the Joy Chalet is a warm inviting home rather than a "vacation rental house." You'll appreciate the tasteful decor and thoughtful care this home reflects.  We are local Asheville, NC owners who take exquisite care of our properties and are available anytime to see to your needs. We make sure each home is exceptionally clean, meticulously well-maintained and the hot tub sparkling with fresh water.  

LOCATION:

The Joy Chalet is conveniently located at the south edge of Asheville (just a mile from Interstate 26, exit 40) close to restaurants and shopping. It’s at the end of a cul-de-sac in a lovely woodlands setting in a quiet residential neighborhood of cedar chalets and the back yard borders a 33 acre woodlands. This ideal location is between Asheville and Hendersonville with only 15 to 20 minutes to either downtown, the Biltmore Estate or to hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

As you first enter, you'll notice a cheerful gas log stone fireplace with remote control set in a soaring 20 foot wall featuring a lovely oil painting. The luxurious, very comfortable couches with carved wood details and rich marble tables are quietly elegant and a perfect nest to watch your flat screen 37" HDTV with simple-to-use built-in DVD. Choose from over 100 movies in our movie library or watch cable TV. Better yet, it’s the ideal spot to just peacefully relax and unwind in front of the fire.

Your delightful eat-in kitchen is fully equipped with quality cookware! You have full size appliances including upscale refrigerator with French doors & freezer drawer, ceramic glass cooktop with self-cleaning oven, dishwasher, microwave, and disposal. Enhance your meals by serving them on our festive dinnerware, heavy glasses and quality silverware. You’ll find sharp knives, a multitude of quality pots, pans, bake dishes, cookie sheets, cake pans, pizza pan, muffin pans, hand mixer, toaster, blender, waffle iron, coffeemaker and even a coffee grinder for your freshly brewed coffee. There are plenty of kitchen accessories & gadgets to please any chef.  You’ll also find a selection of basic spices.  Off the kitchen, you’ll find a high-tech full size washer and dryer for your convenience.  You'll also find a pretty power room half bath.

Your romantic master suite features a magnificent tapestry over a plush quality King bed with sumptuous high count cotton sheets, butter-soft blankets and elegant bedding ensemble. Recline in luxury while you watch your flat screen TV with a simple-to-use built-in DVD/VCR. A handsome dresser, chest of drawers and walk-in closet offer plenty of space for your clothes. And, best of all, an amazing Human Touch Technology Massage Chair will send you to heaven! It’s our favorite ultimate pleasure. A tasteful bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub/shower and soft cotton towels complete the master suite. Oh, don’t you love to be spoiled!

Step out your back kitchen door onto a wonderful screened, covered porch with roll down privacy screens and elegant palm style fan & light.  Relax in an intimate two-person lounger hot tub and view your woodlands back yard.  Drink a morning cup of coffee in the deck chairs or venture out into the yard to enjoy the picnic area and gas grill.   Walk the woodlands path to the creek where there is a bench swing suspended from a tree.  Ah, the romance of it all!

ADDITIONALLY….

There are ceiling fans throughout as well as central air conditioning although seldom needed in these Blue Ridge Mountains.  In addition to the full bathroom upstairs, there is a lovely half bath powder room on the first level.

For the fun of it, we’ve provided a vintage 1948 Scrabble board with 100 wooden tiles, a 1961 Monopoly game, a 1974 Easy Money game plus games such as chess, checkers, playing cards, Yahtzee, etc. In addition, we have selection of enjoyable paperback novels.

We’ve had a great time creating a nurturing restful atmosphere here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.  This is our favorite place in the world and we’re thrilled to share our enchanted little chalet with you.  The thoughtful little extras we’ve provided will make you feel that you’re staying at a best friend’s home rather than a rental house.
