We lovingly restored this historic enchanting cottage to its original beauty and added extra touches to pamper you: a 6 person hot tub, an awesome "Hands-on-Technology" massage chair, ultra luxury King & Queen mattresses with sumptuous bedding, HDTVs/DVDs, movie library, high speed wireless Internet, beautiful quality furnishings, children’s outdoor playground, baby crib & accessories, central heat & air conditioning,  and patio sitting area with an 11 acre forest where you can stroll along the peaceful paths.  It is a lovely retreat that offers a romantic setting for a honeymoon or anniversary!

With all our special touches, the Story Book Cottage feels like a warm inviting home rather than a "vacation rental house."  You'll appreciate the tasteful decor and thoughtful care this home reflects.  We are local Asheville, NC owners who take exquisite care of our properties and are available anytime to see to your needs. We make sure each home is exceptionally clean, meticulously well-maintained and the hot tub sparkling with fresh water.  

LOCATION:  Nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, you have the convenience of in-town living yet you can take a walk through the 11 acre woodlands out your back door.  You’re only a mile north of the charming historic downtown Hendersonville Main Street shops, galleries, antique stores & restaurants and Patton Park with swimming pool. Plus it’s a quick 13 miles to Asheville and about 18 miles to the Biltmore Estate and downtown Asheville.  When you arrive, a long driveway leads you to the cottage set back off the street from other homes with plenty of parking.

LIVING ROOM & DINING AREA: Joined to a cheerful sunroom with windows graced by elegant curtains, the living room offers spectacular heart-of-pine original wood floors, elegant fireplace with remote controlled gas logs, comfortable plush sofas, HDTV with built-in DVD/VCR, movie library, high speed wireless Internet, free phone, and to spoil you further, an awesome “Hands-on-Technology” iJoy 250 massage chair! The open wood beam archway opens to the sunroom’s dining table, chairs. You may never want to leave!

KITCHEN: You’ll appreciate the all new kitchen with stainless appliances & top-of-the-line cookware. A large breakfast bar opens the living room into the delightful kitchen which has been thoughtfully and fully equipped to please any chef. New maple cabinets, gorgeous countertops, stainless appliances are accented by bright red KitchenAid cookware & accessories. You have sharp cooking knives, quality silverware, cheerful hand-painted dinnerware, coffee maker & grinder and much more!  There are plenty of kitchen accessories & gadgets to please any chef.   Eat at the breakfast bar or at the dining table. Appliances include a high-tech refrigerator with French doors and bottom freezer drawer, oven with gas cook top, microwave, dishwasher and a new washer & dryer set.

BEDROOMS: Each bedroom has a beautiful view and access through the double French doors to the peaceful back deck sitting/dining area, hot tub and the 11 acre forest.  The bedrooms are tastefully furnished, decorated and each with a TV.  Indulge in sumptuous high count cotton sheets, plush blankets, lovely bed ensembles, and premium quality plush mattresses (king and queen). Each room also has a full length mirror. The master bedroom has a sitting area for two and the guest bedroom has a writing desk for those notes home. For babies we have a sturdy portable crib with bedding.  There is a twin air bed with built-in quick inflate/deflate motor for the additional guest.

Always important guests at our homes, we provide plenty to keep children entertained and enough baby equipment so parents can travel lightly. For kids there is an outdoor playground with fort, slide, climbing wall and swings (including infant swing), toys, games and books.
