LOCATION:  View Chalet is an exquisite vacation rental home nestled on the side of Mount Royal at the south edge of Asheville.  It's a secluded 2 acres conveniently located in town with only 10 to 15 minutes to the Biltmore Estate, downtown Asheville, the airport and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Relax in elegant comfort of plush chairs including an awesome massage chair & sofas (1 is a queen sleeper), remote controlled gas log fireplace, Italian Terra Cotta tile floor, 52 inch HDTV with digital HDMI 16:9 with surround sound, premium stations and huge movie library, wonderful artwork….and gaze out the picture windows at the spectacular year-round 50 mile view. Curtains pull across the room entrances for privacy and light reduction for TV viewing. Step out the living room front door to the outdoor patio table & chairs to enjoy the view or to access the hot tub.

The gracious dining room looks out on astounding views in several directions. Dine inside or go out the sliding glass doors to the deck beyond to eat alfresco.  This front patio area feels like a second living room for relaxing and visiting while you take in the fresh air and mountain views.  For a change of setting, you can also enjoy the large back deck off the kitchen where there is another eating area and views of the Blue Ridge Parkway.  Wherever you sit, you can watch the scenes unfold from early morning mists, crisp clear view after a rain or the hues of the sunset sky.

You'll appreciate the fully-equipped kitchen complete with top quality Kitchen Aid cookware, fun hand-painted dishes, quality flatware, sharp cooking knives, coffee maker, coffee grinder, crock pot, bread machine, plentiful pots, pans, baking dishes, stand mixer  and plenty of kitchen accessories & gadgets to please any chef. There is a high-tech refrigerator with French doors and bottom freezer drawer, oven & gas cooktop, microwave and dishwasher. There is a second full-size refrigerator downstairs for packing away extra food for the week. The kitchen door opens to the back patio with even more amazing views where you will find the gas grill and more table & chairs for outdoor dining.

FAMILY ROOM & QUEEN BED AREA    

The large family room embraces you in warm comfort with brick and rich paneled walls with wood beam ceiling. The front part of the room is furnished with comfortable sofas (1 is a queen sleeper) & tables, a 37 inch HDTV with built-in DVD player, a Playstation 2 with games, a small wet bar and a clothing wardrobe closet.

The back part of the room is divided off by a wall of privacy curtains.  Here you will find a plush queen bed, cedar walls, beamed ceiling, rustic brick fireplace with electric log insert with heater, a 36 inch TV with built-in DVD/VCR players, lots of DVD & VHS movies and a chest of drawers.  It's an inviting area to relax and sleep.

Note:  There is a full bathroom on each level (3) of the chalet.

FOUR BEDROOMS:   

Two of the stylish king bedrooms (3rd level) have ultra plush king bed mattresses with love seat sitting areas. One enjoys a balcony with a bird’s eye view of the mountain ridges south. There is a cheerfully decorated queen bedroom on the 2nd level with an ultra plush queen bed with delightful decorator touches.  In addition, on the 1st level are two more sleeping areas: a warm & charming queen bedroom with fireplace at the back of the family room as well as a small child's playroom/bedroom (shown below) with a fun playhouse, colorful 8' x 10' jungle mural of happy animals, lots of stuffed animals, kids books & toys, and a twin bed.  All beds have top quality mattresses, high count cotton sheets, ultra soft blankets and elegant bed ensembles.

For large groups needing extra sleeping areas, both the living room and family room have comfortable sleeper sofas and privacy curtains.  In addition there is a twin air bed with quick built-in inflate/deflate motors.

Always important guests at our homes, we provide plenty to keep children entertained and enough baby equipment so parents can travel lightly. For babies there is a crib with bedding, pack-n-play, high chair, stroller, baby bath tub, child gates, cuddly stuffed animals and soft blankies. Kids love the fabulous outdoor playground with fort, slide, climbing wall and swings. The indoor playroom has a walk-in playhouse, delightful jungle wall mural, lots of stuffed animals, toys, books & games plus a twin bed.
