LOCATION:  View Chalet is an exceptional vacation home nestled on the side of Mount Royal with amazing panoramic mountain views.  It's very private yet it's conveniently located at the south edge of Asheville with about 10 minutes to downtown, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Biltmore Estate.   This home embraces you with its warmth and serenity.

LIVING ROOM:  Enjoy the picture window’s 50 mile views while you relax in elegant comfort of this room’s gas log fireplace, quality couches (1 is a queen sleeper), chairs & oversized floor pillows on the Italian Terra Cotta tile floors.  When you’re not watching the view, the 52” HDTV with surround sound & premium stations will entertain you!  There are over 200 movie titles in our movie library. 

FAMILY ROOM:  Located on the first level, this room embraces you in warm comfort with several large sofas (1 is a queen sleeper), a pretty writing desk, a 36 inch TV with a huge movie library, a small wet bar, elegant chest of drawers and wardrobe closet.  There are lots of board games and well as a Play Station with games.  Curtains pull across the room for added sleeping privacy. 

KITCHEN:  You'll appreciate the fully equipped kitchen complete with top quality Kitchen Aid cookware, fun hand-painted dishes, quality flatware, sharp cooking knives, coffee maker, coffee grinder, crock pot, bread machine, plentiful pots, pans, baking dishes,stand mixer  and plenty of kitchen accessories & gadgets to please any chef. And, yes, you can cook with gas!  There is a second full-size refrigerator downstairs for packing away food for an entire week!

DINING ROOM & OUTDOOR AREAS:  The gracious dining room looks out on astounding views in several directions.  Dine inside on the beautiful table or go out the sliding glass doors to the deck beyond to eat alfresco.  This front patio area feels like a second living room for relaxing and visiting while you take in the fresh air and mountain views.  For a change of setting, you can also enjoy the large back deck off the kitchen where there is another eating area and views of the Blue Ridge Parkway.  Wherever you sit, you can watch the scenes unfold from early morning mists, crisp clear view after a rain or the hues of the sunset sky.

BEDROOMS & SLEEPING AREAS: 

Two stylish bedrooms have ultra lush king beds with love seat sitting areas, one enjoys a third floor balcony with a bird’s eye view of the mountain ridges south. A third bedroom has an ultra plush queen bed with fun decorator touches.  And the small fourth child's bedroom has a delightful playhouse, 8' x 10' jungle mural with happy animals, lots of stuffed animals and a twin bed.  For large groups needing extra sleeping areas, both the living room and family room have new comfortable sleeper sofas and curtains/doors that will give you privacy.  In addition there is 1 queen and 1 twin air bed with quick built-in inflate/deflate motors.

ENTERTAINMENT:  Each bedroom has its own TV with easy to use built-in VCR/DVD, as well as a 52 inch wide screen HDTV with digital HDMI 16:9 with surround sound & digital premium movie channels in the living room and a big 36 inch TV in the family room.  There is a large movie video library and fun board games for added entertainment.  We also have a Play Station 2 video game player with games. Stay in touch with our high speed wireless internet connection.  We have FREE local & long distance phone service.

For your added convenience, there is a full size ultra modern front load washer and dryer in the laundry room for your use.  Try it out to see if you want one in your own home - they're great!

CHILDREN:  Kids especially love the View Chalet that has their own indoor playhouse filled with dolls, stuffed animals, toys, books & games.  Outside is a fabulous playground with slide, swings, rope ladder, climbing wall & fort.  For babies we also supply portable crib, child gates, high chair, baby bath tub, stroller, soft blankies, play yard, and more.
