Amazingly beautiful! Basilica of St. Lawrence in downtown Asheville NC, completed in 1909, is an architectural gem of Spanish Renaissance style with massive stone foundations & built entirely of tile & masonry material with no beams of wood or steel in the entire structure. The roof is tile with copper covering. This Roman Catholic Church is thought to have the largest unsupported dome in North America.
