Last year, 1,500 people attended the party even more are expected this year. Featured is Sierra’s Oktoberfest beer, a collaborative fest brew made with Germany's Mahrs Brau. It was made with a nearly forgotten hop style called Record that brings a crisp, lighter taste.
The Soul Rebels band will play funk, brass & soul music while Klaberheads will play traditional German music and Asheville's Lagerhosen will round out music festivities. Parking is at the WNC Agricultural Center, or using shuttles from downtown Asheville and Hendersonville (check Sierra's website for details).
$45 general admission includes a full meal from Sierra Nevada's restaurant, a beer stein, shuttle service and one drink or pretzel ticket. You can buy more beers, pretzels or cupcakes for $5 each.
