Sliding Rock in Pisgah National Forest, NC

6/16/2016

Sliding Rock in Pisgah National Forest close to Asheville, Brevard & Hendersonville, NC is a waterslide created by Mother Nature!  This summer refresher finds thousands of kids & adults sliding down the sloping 60 foot boulder to splash in an 8 foot deep pool (you must know how to swim!) During daylight hours Memorial Day through late August, life guards on duty & restrooms open 10 AM – 6 PM.  Cost is only $2 when staff are present.  Be forewarned that in the mountains, water will be cold and you are sliding on a rock so wear sturdy clothes & water shoes.  Children under 7 must slide with an adult.  Dogs must be leashed and cannot slide.
