Spring is the time to see the baby goats at the Carl Sandburg Home in Flat Rock, NC.
Now a national historic site, this is where Pulitzer Prize winner Carl Sandburg (1878 – 1967), American poet, author, lecturer, spent the final 22 years of his life.
Today it is FREE to hike the trails in this beautiful 246 acre working farm. Visit the barn where Mrs. Sandburg raised her prize winning goats & visit the new babies.
For a small fee, you can tour his home “Connemara” built in 1838 (plan on spending several hours at the home).
Open daily 9 AM – 5 PM
